Thank you to all who attended the Gator Detachment's 2025 Marine Corps Birthday Ball.
We we happy to have you as our guests and look forward to next year, celebrating 250 years as a nation!
Our Guest of Honor was Chief Warrant Officer 5 Jonathan Knauth, USMC Retired. He traveled from northern Virginia to be with us at the ball.
He joined the Marine Corps in 1993. He was assigned as a Marine Corps photographer.
He held several assignments. In Drill Instructor School, SSgt Knauth finished 3rd in his class and then was the honor graduate of his Marine Corps Combat Instructor of Water Survival Course. He served as a Drill Instructor with Lima Company at 3rd Battalion, Parris Island SC.
In 2004 he deployed to Iraq as a Combat Photographer. In 2008, Gunnery Sergeant Knauth was selected to the grade of Warrant Officer. In 2009 he graduated his Warrant Officer Training in the top 5% of his class.
Chief Warrant Officer Knauth served fourteen more years in various assignments and continued to distinguish himself.
He retired in 2023 and we are glad to have him as our special guest to celebrate 250 years of the Marine Corps!
