GATOR DETACHMENT 990 - MARINE CORPS LEAGUE - GAINESVILLE/ALACHUA |
Celebrating 248 years of the USMC, 100 years of the Marine Corps League and 25 years of Gator Detachment 990
A great time was had by all as we enjoyed the initial social hour where we reviewed the items to be raffled, met with old friends, had our photographs taken and begin sipping our favorite beverages.
The traditional annual ceremony was held, the same ceremony that is performed all around the globe on the night of the Marine Corps Birthday. We heard from our Guest of Honor, Navy Captain John D. Levoy, Commanding Officer, University of Florida Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps, where the midshipmen are prepared for service as officers in the Navy and Marine Corps. CLICK HERE TO SEE
Our guests enjoyed a very valuable raffle, an excellent dinner and live music by Crooked Counsel. PHOTOS OF THE BALL
All the vibes were great and we look forward to another great celebration next year.
We cannot provide this level of festive atmosphere without the help of our sponsors. In addition to our Eagle sponsors, our mission would not be possible without the help from our Globe and Anchor sponsors. That is the power of the Eagle, Globe and Anchor! Semper Fidelis! |
