Dept of Florida Spring Conference

This is the annual Spring Conference open to all members of the Marine Corps League in the state of Florida. 

Includes the Leadership Class on Friday which normally goes from about 9am to 3pm. In this class, you are informed about a variety of aspects of the Marine Corps League, from the duties of the various elected and appointed positions, to policies and procedures of the Marine Corps League, detailed information about uniforms, and some leadership information that helps at the unit level as well as higher levels.

This program was developed here in Florida and is now used throughout the nation.  It is highly informative.  Attending multiple times continues to yield information even for the salty Marines.

Saturday begins with breakfast, raising of the colors at 0800 with a large formation of members, a joint meeting with the League and the Auxiliary, and then a general business meeting.

Saturday night is a banquet. Reservations for the banquet are due by March 6th.

During non-meeting times, you can explore the Safety Harbor Resort, walk onto the pier which extends into Tampa Bay where you sometimes see the Manatees, or walk the quaint town of Safety Harbor where there are shops and restaurants.  Or you can wander over to the Ship's Store where MCL and Marine Corps items are for sale.  And there is always the Hospitality Room (run by us) where the drinks are cheaper than anyplace you will ever buy drinks and you can talk with members from all over the state.  Many interesting conversations go on there and the mood is always good.

Reservations at the Resort are $95 per night.  Banquet tickets are $50 per person. Must make reservations by March 6, 2018 to guarantee the rate.
