GATOR DETACHMENT 990 - MARINE CORPS LEAGUE - GAINESVILLE/ALACHUA

In late 2025 we needed to update our detachment bylaws.  We have prepared a proposed document that is being posted on this website on December 21, 2025 for review by our members.  Rather than just amending any content that needed to be addressed, we were encouraged by the Department of Florida to join other detachments in using a new format for continuity.

Members, please take the time to review the document and let us know if you have any concerns.  

New bylaws (or amendments to bylaws) are required to be made available to the members no less than three weeks prior to voting on acceptance.  It is our intention to discuss these proposed bylaws at the January general meeting on 1/27/2026.  We can place the proposal up for a vote to adopt the new bylaws.  Once approved, they are in effect but will require final approval by the Department of Florida Judge Advocate.
